Today's Official RPI


RPI is the key metric that the NCAA will use for NCAA bids and seeding.

The Top 16 seeds will host three other schools in Regional NCAA games and the Top 8 seeds have the potential of hosting Super Regional games IF they win their Regional.

The strength of schedule component is a HUGE part of RPI, and in VT's case, it's a real positive. RPI is a mathematical calculation that incorporates a team's winning percentage (25%), its opponents' winning percentage (50%), and the winning percentage of those opponents' opponents (25%).

Long way to go, but being #1 is a good place to be at the moment
